What do we know about Carbohydrates? We know that they provide us with brain power, energy to get us through busy days and our workouts. Without “carbs”, we feel lethargic and run down almost constantly and eventually we will stop progressing toward our fitness goals, despite what the trend says about “low carb diets”.
We also know that certain carbohydrates take away from our fitness goals, even if we are keeping them in our diets in the proper amount. Those carbs that detract us from reaching our goals are generally made from processed flour and mass produced, such as pasta and bread. That is why I love experimenting with making my own pasta substitues, like zucchini noodles to go with this amazing homemade marinara!
